What other choice but to be comfortable with it. Sit waiting on the bank of the river: others will eventually float past. Serendipity Factor? I hope to run across them in the future ;-)Apostolos K. I have bookmarked your like for later reading :) I am not too opposed to LMSs, but designers need to realize that they are built with a certain set of values in them and those values must coincide with the purpose/values of your course.

I decided to keep mostly out of D2L, not because I can't deal with it, but because I have no time. I am much more nimble when I can bookmark (instapaper or pocket) a blog post and read it during my commute, and compose replies when I am back to being connected, than needing to be connected all the time to read discussion forums. At work I am busy, at home I am busy. I tend to MOOC during my downtime (commuting). I could use my lunch time at work to MOOC, but I need a compelling reason to continue to stare at a screen during lunch :)Apostolos K. I'm posting in its discussion board to connect with other learners.Apostolos K. There have been enough of them by now to find a balance that does not drive new users nuts and still allows for modest experimentation. I may not be sure why I am here, but it's not to learn new LMS that I doubt I will ever use (if I can possibly help it)

#CFHE discussion has moved off the forum and, presumably, onto blogs. Fortunately for me, there are some very good ones. Better than crib notes.

I'm also in #DNLE (but not doing a project) and interested in how that compares to the other two also about education. The Venture platform, although still an LMS and not really open, is much improved.Apostolos K. ("AK")https://www.blogger.com/profile/02198465120131968928noreply@blogger.com
